The Digital Institute (DI) builds and supports multi-disciplinary collaborations to tackle key challenges in research at Newcastle University, which has resulted in more than £40 million of funding. The institute uses a structure of digital networks: Engineering, Health, Humanities, Inclusion and Science, in order to disseminate information produced by collaborations and to document and publicise work in other areas of university research that are actively using digital technologies.
The DI also acts as a ‘front door’ for all digital research at the university, working closely with external organisations to access the latest developments and expertise in digital technologies.
