Many ESRC investments have resulted in innovation in digital research tools and practices. While the initial ambitions of the grants may have been achieved successfully, there is often an opportunity to broaden the uptake and impact of this innovation beyond the scope of the original funding. This involves making sure that digital innovations continue to be easily accessible to and usable by others, ensuring that the broader community, as well as those involved with the project, may build on them in the future.
The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) invites applications to enhance the sustainability of proven software, services and practices, so that we may further support social science research using digital methods.
